About Us

Loungeroom Project is a grassroots, artist-run collective based on Gadigal land (Inner West Sydney), transforming everyday spaces into living, breathing art experiences.

We started in makeshift living rooms, backyards, and borrowed corners—where creativity didn’t wait for permission. Today, we’re still about that DIY spirit, but with a growing network of artists, musicians, performers, and culture-makers who believe in the power of intimate, intentional spaces.

We host exhibitions, gigs, screenings, residencies, workshops, and experimental events that blur the lines between art and life. We’re not just showcasing work—we’re building community, redistributing resources, and holding space for emerging and underrepresented creatives.

Whether it’s a show in someone’s house, a pop-up in a forgotten shopfront, or an immersive installation in a backyard, Loungeroom Project is about making art accessible, challenging norms, and reimagining how and where creative practice happens.

We’re not a gallery. We’re a gathering.

We’re not polished. We’re alive.

We’re the kind of room where anything can happen.

This is your invitation to take up space, make some noise, and get involved.
